“Vulnerability is not weakness, and the uncertainty, risk and emotional exposure we face every day are not optional.  Our only choice is a question of engagement.  Our willingness to own and engage with our vulnerability determines the depth of our courage and the clarity of our purpose.”  – Brene’ Brown

Today was my last day of radiation treatments!  With my sister, Tricia and my friend, Anne by my side – I made it through!   I really feel like celebrating, but I’m way too tired.

I’m definitely letting out a big sigh of relief and saying a big prayer of thanks.  I’m incredibly grateful to be done with this phase.  Next step, tamoxifen which is an oral hormonal therapy taken daily for ten years. No more daily trips to Rye!

I can truly start the healing process and start getting my energy back.  I’m counting on a great summer filled with healing and love!

My dear family, friends and readers, thank you for being with me on this journey.  Thank you for allowing me to share my vulnerability with you, and for cheering me on and loving me all along the way.

Thank you for allowing me to be real and courageous and allowing me to hopefully inspire others along the way.

This is not over – and I will not stop writing, but this Chapter will be closing.  Thank God.

Now onto the real healing and recovery which I will continue to write about and update you on.  Moving forward, we can focus on health and wellness…..and inspiration!  So grab that green juice, green tea – or if its after 5 pm, maybe even a nice Pinot Noir, and join me!
